About the artist

Carlota Soto is a Mexican-Québécois painter based in Montreal and on the South Shore. She works primarily in acrylic and oil pastel.

A manifestation of the unconscious, her work reflects an introspection of a self in constant transformation. Her universe sheds light on the complexity of the feminine mind, drawing inspiration from posthumanism, body horror, and her interest in fashion.
